February is often known as the month of romance, and while Valentine’s weekend at Copper Beech Glamping is fully booked (as always — thank you!), we love reminding guests that romantic escapes don’t have to be limited to just one date on the calendar. A peaceful countryside stay, time away from busy routines, evenings in the hot tub under the stars and cosy nights by the fire are the perfect way to celebrate someone special at any time of year.
This time of year also brings a quiet kind of magic across the site. The days are slowly beginning to lengthen, the first hints of spring are starting to appear, and nature is gently preparing for the months ahead. Around the plots, you may notice birds becoming more active as they begin to prepare for nesting season. We continue feeding them through the colder months to help support the local wildlife, and it’s always a lovely sight to watch them gathering, calling, and returning to familiar corners of the countryside.
Behind the scenes on the farm, another special season is approaching. Our ewes are currently pregnant, and lambing season will begin in March, one of the most exciting and rewarding times of the farming year. Guests staying with us in early spring may begin to see the early preparations taking place as we get ready to welcome the first lambs of the season.
February at Copper Beech is therefore a beautiful blend of cosy winter calm and the first quiet signs of new beginnings. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a relaxing countryside reset, or simply looking for a peaceful break surrounded by nature, there’s something particularly special about visiting at this time of year — when the landscape is still, yet full of anticipation for what’s to come.
