Harvest Season at Copper Beech Glamping

As the evenings grow crisper and the countryside glows with autumn colour, harvest season arrives at Copper Beech Glamping. This is one of our favourite times of year — a moment to slow down, gather nature’s bounty, and savour the flavours of the season.

Apples in Abundance

Our hedgerows and orchards are heavy with apples of every shape and size. Some are best eaten straight from the tree, crisp and tangy, while others are destined for something more indulgent. Local partners like Haywood Park Farm press many of the apples into delicious juice — sweet, cloudy, and full of autumn character. Others make their way into comforting apple crumbles, pies, and compotes. There’s nothing quite like tucking into a warm bowlful by the fire after a day exploring the countryside.

Hedgerows of Blackberries

At the same time, the hedgerows are bursting with glossy blackberries. These blackberries find their way into jams, syrups, and compotes, or join apples in a classic crumble. Some even get frozen for winter, keeping a taste of late summer sunshine alive for the colder months.

A Time of Gathering and Gratitude

Harvest season is about more than just food — it’s a celebration of abundance, community, and slowing down to appreciate the land. For our guests, it’s an opportunity to experience this special time up close: whether through a countryside walk to gather blackberries, a glass of freshly pressed juice, or a cosy evening in your cabin enjoying a seasonal treat.

At Copper Beech Glamping, harvest season is a reminder of life’s simple joys — good food, crisp air, and the beauty of nature’s cycle. Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway or a longer stay, autumn offers a chance to slow down, fill your basket, and savour the richness of the season.
