Gold with Green Tourism

This April marks a truly special moment for us here at Copper Beech Glamping. After a long journey of thoughtful planning, learning and making meaningful changes, we are incredibly proud to share that we have been awarded Gold by Green Tourism at our very first assessment.

This recognition means so much to us. Sustainability has always been at the heart of Copper Beech, not just as a goal, but as part of how we live and work on the farm every day. From the very beginning, we’ve been committed to creating a space where guests can relax and reconnect with nature, while also treading lightly on the environment around us.

Our “green story” is woven into every part of the Copper Beech experience. From using local, reclaimed and recycled materials during the build, to generating electricity through solar panels, we’ve made conscious choices to reduce our impact. 

We’ve planted native hedging and wildflower areas to encourage biodiversity, reintroduced our orchard and vegetable patch for guests to enjoy, and use eco-friendly, refillable products throughout the site. Even small touches, like encouraging guests to explore the area using our complimentary bikes,  all play a part in supporting more sustainable travel. 

To receive Gold recognition from Green Tourism, a globally recognised sustainability certification programme supporting businesses to care for people, places and the planet, is a huge achievement for us. It reflects not only the steps we’ve already taken, but also our ongoing commitment to continuously improve and do better.

We were also delighted to be featured in Green Tourism’s March 2026 announcement of new members and award upgrades, alongside other inspiring businesses across the industry. To be recognised in this way, and to achieve Gold from the outset, feels incredibly rewarding.

While we’re so proud of this milestone, it’s also just the beginning. Sustainability is a journey, and we’ll continue to look for ways to enhance what we do; from supporting local suppliers to protecting the natural environment that makes Copper Beech so special.
