A Calligraphy Workshop with Quirky Bird Workshops

Recently, we had the pleasure of visiting Quirky Bird Workshops, located at Lodge Lane Farm, just a short drive from the glamp site. Set in a peaceful rural spot, Quirky Bird Workshops are known for their warm, welcoming atmosphere and offer a fantastic range of art and craft classes throughout the year. Whether you’re drawn to painting, printing, crochet, or calligraphy, there’s something to inspire everyone and plenty of opportunity to get hands-on and let your creativity flow.

The last workshop we attended was the the Modern Calligraphy Workshop with the lovely Coreen, a two-hour session designed to introduce you to the beautiful art of hand lettering. Whether you’re planning a wedding, crafting invitations, or simply want to add a personal touch to cards and gifts, this is a fantastic introduction to modern calligraphy.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with Coreen gently guiding us through techniques using special pens and worksheets. Even if you haven’t picked up a pen for anything artistic in years, you'll feel at ease. It was the perfect mix of relaxed and rewarding, ideal for a rainy afternoon or a chilled-out evening during your stay.
